It was a tall order...but Marin made it...eventually..
Funny thing is this was exactly the expression on my face when I found out he lost:

He seemed happy about it:
I'm happy for Cilic- he's an excellent tennis player and always showed a lot of potential despite giving patchy inconsistent performances. Still, the tournament will not be the same without Delboy...Sunday, January 24, 2010
Through to the quarters:

And he'll face this guy: You know who it is but I think its better we don't show his face

Murray made it passed another giant, Isner. Isner looked fatigued from his recent long match and although he did well to keep up with Murray in the first set he was,in my opinion, outclassed. I am no Murray fan and while he only got 8 unforced errors (impressive i must say) he wasn't looking as dangerous as he used or as he does in the small tournaments. That said, he's through to the quarters- his best result at the Australian Open so far. I must mention that he did look like he was going to collapse from the heat at some points during the match e.g

So Big Sis and Lil Sis are off to watch Andy Murray play obviously on TV and were going to stay up and watch the Nadal v's Karlovic match again this will be on TV but for Delboy fans im afraid we will have to resort to live streaming. Its going to get very difficult concentrating on the two matches at once but im sure we'll find a way to do it. Im looking forward to the Delboy v's Cilic match lets hope there tennis will reach new heights! As for Nadal v's Karlovic i think the clear fave is Nadal and im sure he will come out on top.
Look who is through to R16...

I refuse to put up a photo of Nando with longer hair because I just cant accept it. He beat Koubek but the poor guy retired after the first set due to illness.

Had to use this photo of Tsonga he looks like hes having great fun as usual. He beat Haas in 4 sets 6-4 3-6 6-1 7-5.

The Djoker beat Istomin in 3 sets. It was a very comfortable win for the Serb 6-1 6-1 6-2.

The nearly man downed Juan Monaco in 3...

I was in bed but I can always rely on Fed. He beat Montanes 6-3 6-3 6-4 and made it his 50th win down under. Here is his press conference.Enjoy!
Well these are my favourites from this side of the draw but Hewitt is through as Bagdatis had to retire with an injury and he faces Federer, Kubot plays Djokovic and Almagro plays Tsonga, Verdasco plays Davydenko. Should be an exciting round so many good matches to look forward to.
Player of the day-in no particular order
Everyday we are going to post a small piece on one of our top ten players. Today we chose a hot favourite:
fa Nadal:A pro since the age of 16 this sexy spaniard is a hot favourite for woman not just because of his looks but also his sweet personality. His never say die attitude and the intensity he brings to the court has earned him a loyal fan base.Lets just say I am a fan but Big Sis is an adoring fan and Rafa can do no wrong in her eyes.Expect to hear plenty about this guy.
Round 3-Second half of the draw
R Federer bt. A Montanes 63 64 64
N Djokovic bt. D Istomin 61 61 62
N Davydenko bt.
J Monaco 60 63 64F Verdasco bt. S Koubek 61 ret.
J Tsonga bt. T Haas 64 36 61 75
L Kubot bt. M Youzhny w/o
L Hewitt bt. M Baghdatis 60 42 ret.
N Almagro bt. A Falla 64 63 64
So Fed is through in straight sets, some people were questioning his abilities after the first round match with Andreev but he seems to have proved them all wrong once again. Lurking in the background is in form Davydenko aka the nearly man lets hope that Fed is good at playstation. Nando also doing a bit of lurking seems to be on form and personally i think hes someone that could prove to be the dark horse of the tournament. How amazing would a Nando v's Rafa final be???Pretty amazing note i said pretty!
Round 3- First half of the draw
Just to keep everyone update on who is through and who they will be facing in Round 4:
Nadal bt. Kohlschreiber 6-4 6-2 2-6 7-5
Del Potro bt. Mayer 6-3 0-6 6-4 7-5
Karlovic bt. Ljubicic 6-3 3-6 6-3 7-6 (7)
Isner bt. Monfils 6-1 4-6 7-6 (4) 7-6 (5)
Roddick bt. Lopez 6-7 (4) 6-4 6-4 7-6(5)
Murray bt. Serra 7-5 6-1 6-4
Cilic bt. Wawarinka 4-6 6-4 6-3 6-3
Gonzalez bt. Korolev6-7 (5) 6-3 1-6 6-3 6-4
People we like that qualified:
Rafa, Delboy, Gonzo, Cilic but we do like the funny dance Karlovic does-that deserves honourable mention. Sadly the draw got less good looking with the loss of Spaniard Feli Lopez aka "Hot Stuff".

New Kids On The Block
So guys,
Let us introduce ourselves. We're not quite Serena and Venus Williams when it comes to our on court performances but we are when it comes to knowing our tennis and we are sisters!
To be honest we like every tennis player, we are true fans of the sport although I will qualify that statement by saying we have a slight dislike of a few players (mostly because of their lack of manners).
Our bank accounts may prevent us from being at tournaments in person, although we did attend the World Tour Finals (WTF?) this year but we are die hard fans and don't let that dampen our spirits.
Come here for all the latest gossip and feel free to share your thoughts..within reason!
